It looks like it could be a uniform button or from an old Peacoat, most were anchors, but not all. A photo of the back would probably be helpful to others who look at your posting.

The button seems to be based on the British coat of arms. However, the lack of detail makes me think this is a fairly modern blazer of coat button.

We must see the back of the button to make an age determination.
