I found this token today at a site that dates to the early 1800s. I'm having a really hard time finding any information on it though. It roughly the size of a silver dollar. The token says Meriden excelcior truth division cold water army. Then the opposite side says token of membership. We pledge total abstinence from all that intoxicates. I'm curious what is this thing? And how old is it? I have a feeling it's from the 19th century. Thank you for the help- Justin ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1428879223.824097.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1428879249.345934.jpg

Pretty cool token, here's some info.; https://manuscripts.wordpress.com/2014/04/03/beware-the-bottle/

Added: For some reason the age of the token in that article doesn't show up unless you click on it, but here's the direct link to the information from the same source: https://manuscripts.wordpress.com/2014/04/03/beware-the-bottle/2014_52_0/
The author states it to be from the 1840's, and he does seem well qualified (credentials at the bottom of the article). But I don't know where he obtained the information.
