Need Help With Axe Head

I found this axe at a homestead that was built in 1720. It seems to be older than my previously found axe heads because of the space to tie the string. Any help would be appreciated.

Try looking for vintage carpenters hatchet/ hammer . Shingle hatchets are usaully thin hieght .
I think the ones with rounded blade top like yours are older, like this one....

Do some electrolysis and you may find markings.
