Well, I say CT copper, see CO not VE top right, I THINK it might be a 1785 Roman Head variety, Miller 2-A.4 variety. Hard to tell with the lack of full details, but if you look at the Reverse, straight on, I can't since you took the photos on an angle :-\ Here is what is considered diagnostic for the A.4 reverse and if that is a match than there was only one Obverse for that the Miller 2 Obverse, thus making it a M.2-A.4

Diagnostic features: Branch hand opposite the curve of D. Top leaf mostly above the colon.

If that is an exact match you have your ID. If not, try posting a more head on photo of the reverse, angled shots distort needed distances for attributing with more certainty.
