Need help woth this Coke bottle and one more.

Found these on a bar in the Flint River, Ga. The brown one is old. Is the Coke old too? I don't know anything about bottle collecting. I keep all I find if they are not beat up too bad. How old are these?

The Coke bottle probably dates to the 1950's or so.

Your Coca-Cola is a Patent-D bottle, made by Laurens Glass in 1939. The date code is visible in your above photo, about two inches North of the heel. You can see where it fit in the Coke timeline here: BOTTLE HISTORY (Evolution Bottle #7)

Thanks guys for the info. The number written that surf was talking about, says 59 - 05 not 39. Would that be the year it was made. I know it is hard to see everything from these pictures. If so, what does the 05 stand for?

Your coke bottle is fairly common down here. I've gotten them out of the Flint River, Kinchafoonee, and Muckalee Creeks. I normally don't keep them because they are too new for my collection. But, they are be becoming more collectable or so I have been told. I've seen and/or found: Dawson, Albany, Americus, Thomasville, Pelham, Camilla, Moultrie, Tifton, Cordele, Valdosta, and Sylvester. Maybe some other towns that I can't think of right this minute. If you keep hunting the Flint, It is just a matter of time until you find some killer items. Good luck and be safe!

Sorry, man, I really thought that was a 39. I gotta get new glasses, and soon... The 05 is a mould number.

1959 would be the year it was made.
