Need Help

I am a newbie. I will have approx. 200.00 to spend next month on a detector. I will be mostly in parks, fields, old farms, and around lake. I just want to get something that I can go out with my 7 year old son and find a few things(hopefully)

My question is what is your opinion on what detector to get. I was looking at the ACE 250. But I would like to know what you think would be good choice for a newbie.

you just answered your own question! for $200 you wont do better than the ace 250. it is a really great machine.

Can't go wrong with the 250.
