Found this at the 1890s mill site today. I think it's curled from farm equipment. Could this be a window latch? gun part? Thanks for looking

Attached to wood or metal sided wagon, such a hook in combination with many others can hold rope to secure a canvas cover.
Or secure a fabric shade's end .

Curtain hook. Shade hook. Lamp hook.
Heck we'll find a use for it! l.o.l..

Has it got a pattern on it, can't tell really?

No pattern , it's flat inside the curve and the seems to be some letters on the outside of the circle part. I can't make them out but it seems to be something written , it stands out from the rest of the hook. Probably just seeing things that aren't really there
