Need ID Help -- .58 cal. Minie ball?

[noxer800]

Found this bullet along an old wagon/stage road in the Southern Calif. desert. AI identified it as a fired (slightly deformer) 3-ringer .58 caliber Minie ball. Does that seem correct. Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

US .58 CALIBER MINIE BALL RECOVERED AT GETTYSBURG — Horse Soldier

I don't know what would deform it like that.

Is that a CM scale? If so, that's way too small for a .58. More like a .22 or arrow tip.

Not sure what it is, but it is *not* a .58 3 ring Minie ball.
