Found this at Folsom Lake today, any idea what it might be ?

I pulled it out of the cemented gravels.

My guess is it's a ball from a ball mill. cool find.

Looks almost like a Moqui Ball or something similar.

Maybe a geode? Crack it open.

if its stone its a nodule/geode,very common in Tertiary river gravels

is the lake almost empty?? theres a lot of old mining stuff around there
