need info please!

My grandfather recently went through his garage and found a White's Classic SL
MD. It was just sitting on his shelf. Not in the box or anything. To make a long story short, he gave it to me and I know absolutely nothing about this detecter. Is is any good, and where can I get an instruction manual for it? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
