A friend of mine found this bottle in the ocean at low tide I'm assuming nj trying to find out what it was and how old is it (time period) thanks for any help

It looks like a tooled crown top beer bottle, 1905 give or take.

There are no known "applied" crown tops from the USA, if it is it's European...
