Need photo ID help

The 1st photo is the guy I am trying to ID. The other photos I know who they are. I live is So CA so I run across stars and celebs photos all the time. when I can get them a a reasonable price I buy and flip on the bay. I bought all the photos from the same person. George Barris autograph on Batmobile shots.

I have no clue on who the guy in pic #1 is. All I can offer is that he appears to be wearing sargeant's stripes so I doubt he is a famous military guy. Maybe a Hollywood guy who spent some time in the army during WWII? By the way, say hello to my old hometown of Fullerton next time you drive through.

Its hard not to drive thru Fullerton since I live two block from it. I drive past CSUF every day.

I was thinking Hollywood guy too. Sargent's stripes but no other insignia makes me think costume. A buddy at work thinks Brodrick Crawford. There was one pic on google that looked real close.

I live in Tallahassee, Florida now. I haven't lived in Fullerton since 1976. I went to high school there (Troy High) right across the street from CSUF and lived in that neighborhood just across Dorothy Lane from Troy. I also did a couple of years of college at Fullerton College (it was called Fullerton Junior College back then). We used to call the college "UCLC" (The University of California at Lemon and Chapman!).

I don't know about Broderick Crawford. I remember him very well from the TV show "Highway Patrol". Crawford was a chubby, round-faced guy like your photo but I don't think that is him.

My best guess would be Claude Akins. Just because of the hairline. If you look at some Akins photos the hairline is similar. Also another prospect is Simon Oakland. Also Akins played an uncredited part as a Sgt. in From Here to Eternity. A classic war movie.

The guy in the uniform holding the target looks sort of like a young Lon Chaney Jr. Those two serious looking guys with the matching designer shirts-didn't they have a "Catch a bullet with your mouth" act? Or was that a different Chaney?

I do kind of notice the resemblance.

But, the guy in the pic has a fat round face. Lon didn't get that way till his later years.
