looking to upgrade and was wondering witch way to go the minelab x-terra 705 or the AT Pro any and all feedback is appreciated

Never used the 705 but I did have the at pro and it was great it did great in the iron never took it in the water so can't say about that but it being waterproof is a plus

There is better machines in the water but I don't think there is a better all-around machine.. As the name implies the AT Pro.. Is really ALL Terrain.. I have an AT Pro with Grey Ghost amphibian headphones it's really a combination that can't be beat for someone who wants to hunt everywhere and anywhere at the drop of a hat often on the same day without switching machines.
The AT really shines in environments congested with high amounts of iron and debris.

AT Pro works like a charm... for the money, it is a great all around machine. GL&HH.

 

[Metal Detecting Stuff]

Either detector will be a nice upgrade from what you have. The AT Pro is waterproof and may work better in iron.
