Someone is selling these. I need to know if any of these are worth more than silver value or not. If they are I could use some help figuring out what they would be worth. Thanks!!

Sorry if I put multiple at once. I'm running on almost no sleep. Also I never work with silver worth more than spot so I don't know the worth of anything over silver price.

I would say a good majority of this stuff is worth more than melt. Maybe not the cheese slicer. A lot of what you have appears to be vintage. All of the boxes and the shell plates are particularly nice and I think are the better choices of the lot (IMHO). Can't really give you any idea of value because it's not all in front of me. But it does seem worthy of some research of makers and dates. As long as the seller isn't asking full retail price. Good luck and keep us posted!!

You should do very well with many of these pieces. The abalone cocktail forks may be alpaca versus sterling, are they marked correctly? The shoe horn will command a very nice premium, especially if it's a famous maker piece like Gorham or Stieff. The little pill boxes with the Chinese blue and white porcelain lids should do well also. The pastry forks appear to be Gorham(Durgin) Fairfax pattern. The monograms will detract slightly from the price. I like the little mouse charm myself, I want it, how much?

So he said most everything will be close to spot. I will ask him how much for it all and the mouse.

So I found out the mouse and boxes have sold already. The little jar with the glass and silver lid is Tiffany. He wants $70 for it. He wants spot for everything else.

The cheese slicer looks like Georg Jensen Acanthus but it could be a company just copying their pattern

Just my opinions...

Trays unless they are a good maker might or might not be valuable.
Cocktail forks aren't worth alot...maybe $10 on Ebay.
I would grab the shoehorn, it has potential depending on maker.
Silver cups, again if it's a good maker...should be worth it...list as chalices individually or sell the pair.
Yep, too bad about the boxes...they all looked well worth it, I would have sucked them up in a heartbeat.
Individual s&P shakers, should be worth it.
Forks look monogrammed...I would pass.
Shell plates look cheap...unless they are a good maker I would also pass...alot of made in china thin silver plate stuff running around that looks great, but isn't worth much.
Make sure that vanity jar is marked tiffany if you spring on it, still iffy and might only bring you $100, if it's not marked tiffany though pass they sell for around 30-40 on ebay.
Hairbrush looks worth it, second one looks like it might have plating and pitting though...pass if it does.
Cheese slicer probably not.
