NEED SOME SCHOOLING ON THE BHID 300

Do I have to re-tune the ground balancing function when I break from wet sand to sub surface detecting. I also seem to be getting alot of false hit when I am in the DISC mode, so I have been going "All Metal" most of the time and kind of defeats the purpose of forking out the $$ to have the ability of not digging junk. I used the Surf Pro PI for 13 years and I guess I am slow to change. Any advice would be welcomed.

Ground balance is different in the WATER....ON THE WET....ON THE DRY...Just minor adj.....CHEST MOUNT THE DETECTOR!!! it puts your ID LIGHTS right where you can see them.....so you can hunt in all metal the lights ID junk....get great depth!!! good hits on small gold!!! very stable!!! DIG ANY LIGHTS AND COBO'S OF YELLOW/GREEN.....THAT HAVE NO "RED" MIXED IN!!! ANY BLINK OF RED ITS A IRON/STEEL MIX ECT.

I hear ya on chest mounting, with the LEDs I am always getting off track by contorting my body to see the DISC lights, so next hunt I will start chest mounting. I like the maching but its like learning a new language.

ITS A GREAT DETECTOR!! A LITTLE LEARNING CURVE...LOTS OF GUYS NEVER GAVE THIS DETECTOR A REAL CHANCE....WITH A LITTLE TIME YOU'LL BE HAULING IN SOME LOOT!!!
