Found a high spot overlooking the old Neosho River Channel near the Osage crossing last week. Nice isolated knob with no trash. Quickly found the two axes, remnants of two knives, four musket balls, two scrapers and a small bell or possibly pipe bowl. The axes are both finely made. The trade are is 3lbs. The American axe is 5.76lbs with a rectangular eye and prominent reverse keystone eye (very tapered upward). All found within 20 yards of each other. A good day!
