Detector(s) used
XP Deus II v0.6 with 11" Coil
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
As Dad & I failed to beat the button record in 4 hours last time we were on this field, I decided to try it alone.

I managed 158 in 4 hours which is about 1 every 1.5 minutes, which doesn't include all the other finds & trash. I was motoring  :coffee2:

1856 Silver 3 Pence
1939 Sixpence
Military collar badge (pioneer corp, I think)
WWII French Navy Button (bird cage shank)
French Police (1930s)
Welsh Police
etc...

Nothing old but another fun day :)

Urrrghhh....a swarm of four holed buttons :laughing7:

That is "unreal" :o

Wow! :o Now You have buttons for the rest of Your life and for all Your friends too! Dont You have snow there?

Beautiful Silver.
That last photo has a great variety!
fouled anchor, Navy,
Cannon, Artillery,
rearing horse with crown, I assume cavalry.
Eagles and Police to round things out.
superb

Maybe I missed this in an earlier post, but do you know what went on in that field during WWII to cause all the buttons to be there? I'm sure the older locals remember.

Not bad on the button front mate :icon_thumleft:, I'm going out tomorrow, but only for a couple of hours. The field has gone from hard as iron to as soft as babies poo :tongue3:. But at least it's a hunt before New Year :icon_thumleft:.

no idea on the horse & crown, it's my first of this type & unresearched. Its the reason I like this field, as I get new variety's every time :icon_thumright:

Geeeze. . . that's more buttons than Zincolns OR clad coinage I've EVER found
in ANY one day of hunting here in the States :P Old buttons rock

Wishing you & Crudad a very Happy New Year!

1 button every 90 seconds, It takes me that long to get back up after digging a signal! I would have had to stay down on my knees the whole time! How big of an area did you cover?

Did you dig a lot of holes with multiples? Otherwise, the math makes that record all but unbeatable. And that field. Good God, that field! It's almost like a box of chocolates.

Nicely done!

Must of been a great workout for you today Cru! :D
Love these two relics the best! :icon_thumright:

Cheers,
Dave
