🏆 Honorable Mentions:

Detector(s) used
XP Deus II v0.6 with 11" Coil
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
As Dad & I failed to beat the button record in 4 hours last time we were on this field, I decided to try it alone.

I managed 158 in 4 hours which is about 1 every 1.5 minutes, which doesn't include all the other finds & trash. I was motoring  :coffee2:

1856 Silver 3 Pence
1939 Sixpence
Military collar badge (pioneer corp, I think)
WWII French Navy Button (bird cage shank)
French Police (1930s)
Welsh Police
etc...

Nothing old but another fun day :)

Maybe I missed this in an earlier post, but do you know what went on in that field during WWII to cause all the buttons to be there? I'm sure the older locals remember.

Its what the old timers used to call 'Shoddy' - its old rags (or uniforms) which where brought from the rag merchant & burnt on the fields to help condition the heavy clay soil & make it more workable.

Deciphered the enigma of Crusader ... Husted live in an area full of rag merchant houses and therefore find many buttons unspoilable. :D

That's my boy, I knew you could do it!
