New attitude=New ring!

Much to my dismay;I'm digging all the pull tabs and bottle tops.I found my 3rd gold ring in as many weeks.This one came in as a bottle top.Nice. So you can "teach an old dog new tricks"!

Nice find Steve. I agree with you, it is frustrating digging up all those tabs and caps. However, as you have found out the good stuff rings in as junk. Patience and determination is rewarded and you got yours. Congrats and thanks for posting.

Nice ring! Yes, a new attitude does help. Trouble is even with a positive attitude some sites just have too many tabs. A lot of the places I think would be good for rings are loaded with tabs. What type of site was it? Park? Sports field?

The machine is the white's xlt with the 5.3 bullseye coil. The ring was found in a soccer field this morning. It was about 4" down .HH

I just need to find someone to dig the pulltabs for me and leave the gold rings . Seriously, great finds, I am to the point that I dig about every other pulltab, but I know that way I will miss every other gold ring. The price of laziness I guess, but I will own up to it...Ryan

I hate to admit it but I too dug every signal yesterday even if it only bipped and I had a blast! This hobby is about finding treasures. I have a jar with Brewer's Commerative Rings started now and when I get enough I am going to recyle and use the money for batteries and stuff.

i dont want to admit it but i hate to dig pulltabs and twist tops , i know i know thats where the gold rings are ! i'm starting to dig more and more of them but now starting to pass on some of the zinc cents, they are pretty bad shape around here most the time, Great finds and keep it up WTG

This year I too started digging more tabs and have done much better in the gold targets. Of course if it is loaded with tabs, I usually set myself a number, say 25, and then move on if nothing gives. Soccer fields I have more patience for. Nice band...

I hate digging PT's too, but if I pass one by the thought of it being a gold ring allways makes me go back and dig it. Congrats on the gold ring in the soccer field, I've only found 2 gold ones in the fields I hunt. Keep em coming!
