First of all my replacement coil was perfect! :) I picked a spot i have been waiting to do. The busiest tot lot I know. Well seeing it was my first time there, I decided to hunt very slow and ended up with 107 coins total. Over 90 came out of the tot lot.

The 14k ring which says love on it, was found under the first swing I checked and the vdi reading on the dfx was >14.

Way to go on the gold ring! You must have found a killer tot lot there bud. If it would ever stop raining here, I could get out again. Congrats buddy, you're doing great!

Well I was hopeful....but tot lots have not been good to me....so yes it was nice.... A day off from digging also should help my back...did have one small spasm the other day for first time in a week. No hunting today...I don't think....

Well it is kind of a long story...but I will cut it short... :) I usually hunt with just the Eclipse 5.3 coil. Mine became extremely erratic and was not picking up surface coins and anything deeper then 3 inches :( Problem was it was off and on...I finally threw up the white flag and got it replaced. I noticed my numbers dropping....Then when I put the stock coil back on found 500 coins and 2 rings in a week and a half and knew it was the coil. The finds were not that deep...nothing the 5.3 should have been missing... Oh forgot to add glad they have the modify button...the defective coil had a broken cable in it.....

Thanks for the up-date Gregg. I have 2 of the 5.3's great in trashy areas!
