NEW CONTEST

Where you all been? I had found our forum and then lost the website.

All is well with me and Tippy. Bad news is she is not pooping which is not good. And to all, a good night.,.

Tippy is pooping and feeling better, but, still sick. She will see her doctor day after Laber Day. Thanks for your support. Xrays show that she has a stone in her stomack, but, no cancer.

I really do not know how the stone got in her stomach. Thanks for your support.

Dolphin got netted, I guess. Or aliens got him.

I know that it is necessary to give my pigeons grit to help them digest their food. Grit is a combination of small stones and minerals. Do you think Tippy is part bird??

Well back to building the day loft for the north side of the loft.

Wind, are you loking to become the Pidgeon King of PA? Looks like you have some experience in construction.

I’m baaaaaaack! I just returned from a two night backpacking trek in the Sierra National Park. We saw lots of deer but fortunately no bears. I was a little stressed that this contest would end and a winner would be announced while I was gone. What a sigh of relief when I saw it was still going!

Really beautiful photos. What kind of bears did you hope not to meet?
You did have your $15.00 dollar permit to enjoy your self right?
We were just about to divide the one million dollar prize between me,Wind, Dolphin and Sam and turn this into s diy\chicks\aliens thread, but now you are back and it would be hard to divide by five. Luckily Highnam wasn't around too.

We only have black bears around here and they are usually more scared of people that we are of them. Mountain lions are more of a threat, and even so sightings of them are rare.

I have an annual national parks pass so I didn’t have to pay the $35 fee to get in. Other than that, I didn’t buy any permits. Frankly I never have and don’t know if I’m supposed to. Nobody is out on the trail to check for a permit of any sort, so I don’t go asking anyone if I need one. A pack, food, tent, fresh underwear and socks, a water filter and a gun is pretty much all I take.

Tippy is better and will see her doctor after Labor Day. She is costing me a lot of money but she is worth it. Many bears looking for food goes to people houses.

So could sneak a metal detector in, Valley. Or maybe find some points.
I have always heard black bear are spooky as deer. But if they get used to people they can be aggressive. Kind of like Sam :p

Unfortunately there’s that pesky federal law that prohibits metal detecting in national parks. My luck I’d get some massive fine.

Going up to Troy, N.Y. on Thursday to pick up some birds from a master breeder. This guy has won all sorts of awards on different breeds of pigeons.
