I think I may have actually reached a point where I have nothing to say. My creative juices are lacking it seems. I mean saying, I win, I'm last to comment just doesn't cut it does it? Trophy rooster

While I was on my rural mail route I killed a lot of those roosters with my delivery vehicle. They must have bird brains ( ) because they would be along the roads, jump up and fly right in front of my car! Stupid birds! I am still here, and CM, if you look back, I have been here for a lo-o-o-ong time!

A fellow rural mail carrier!? Were you a real rural carrier using your own vehicle with a delivery of 120 miles round-trip or were you like me...26 miles total and supplied with an LLV? I did see the occasional bear, coyote, cougar, deer etc...no roosters though...I did nudge a few garbage cans out of the way...wait...I did have a deer slam into the side of my vehicle once...

I used my own vehicle and got paid mileage. The mail route itself was about 100 miles a day. Saw bears, deer, antelope, coyotes, and a wolf or two after they introduced them into Idaho and they spread to our area. I loved that part of the job! I also had a lot of dog friends along the route!

Nice...you wouldn't want to forget your scanner or lock box key on that kind of route...loved the dogs on my route...had one that would take the mail to his owner...loved being able to get outdoors....
