Have not ice fished yet this season, it has been warmer than years past and most of the lakes are still open water.

Area I'm in there are lakes everywhere. Our lake will be busy soon with ice fishing. Crappies and Walleyes are good eating.

Burning wood all winter long in Wetern Wa....
Wouldnt have it any other way

As a kid our house was heated by burning wood. Every morning on weekends (sunup) we would load into the old wood cutting trucks my dad would buy and off we would go on another adventure. On really cold days the smoke would run low to the ground and made for some fun yard playing....like a thick fog. Good memeories

We always had steam heat in NYC. There was a time when the city was full of coal fired boilers but they phased them out in the 50's.
Today I have gas heat.
I use a burn barrel once a month, usually for cardboard, paper, and wood.

Awoke here with a warm 0 degrees and cold for the next week in the forecast. I would be in shorts if we had 40 degrees.
