I had the pleasure of spending a good deal of time today with someone who most of us know and respect. Quindy. I just happened to be in his neck of the woods and he was kind enough to take me out and educate me on my new F-75 which I had just purchased from another friend of his.
I felt like a beginner as I struggled at first but with his coaching and encouragement I was very comfortable in just a couple hours. Don't let him kid you, he is an expert on the F-75 and digging relics. I witnessed it first hand.

We had a great day detecting PLUS a wonderful lunch.

The information and experience I gained today far exceeded our incredible finds. However, I was very pleased to walk out with a couple eagle buttons, bullets and a couple other relics.

Thanks again Quindy for everything.

Billy, you took to that F75 like a duck to water. Your experience with your other detector showed big time. That F75 will open up a whole new world of detecting. As I told you today, if you can find relics in that hard hunted hot soil, you will be very successful in East Tennessee. It was my pleasure my friend and HH, Q.

Sweet digs. The F75 is a great machine.

That's some nice finds. I am glad you had to put up with Q today and not me. LOL He's very good with the F75 and a good friend.

Old Quindy just can't be beat. He is, like DMan said, very good with the F-75 and has a lot of knowledge about civil war history and relics. Glad you like the machine and I'll pass that on to Wayne. Congrats on your finds as that place has been hunted pretty hard!!! I'll bet you ate at Kellers today, Tennessee digger

Good finds, and good luck with the F75. I use a BH Platinum, and I do well with it, but while i'd like to cant afford a major upgrade anytime soon, so I ordered an 11" DD coil as an upgrade.

Nice finds Bhodge!

Owning a F75 myself I can tell you have a machine that will hunt. One of the members on here shared a setting with me that I use exclusively for parks. Its je mode, sens 30, disc at 4. I use 11" inch coil and don't need a pin pointer but use one anyway. You want the high pitch wisp of a signal. If you use head phones you will even kill it more. It is a noisy machine, but I run it hot as I can.

Out away from emi I can open it all the way up. You will dig deep. Get a good digger if don't already have one. Since you doing relics, I don't what settings worked best for you. Maybe you can share some of that knowledge as I am always trying to trick my machine.

The VDI is a liar and the truth aint in her lol. Its good at id what is there. But Depth can be up to 3 inches off. 5" inch coil is quiet, but just as deep as the 11" coil.

Only complaint I have, is it wont fit in my backpack. I take it everywhere. I mean everywhere. It could be water proof too, but I hope yours fills in the gaps for you like mine has for me. Fisher did a good job with the programs on this one. I still want a minelab and a few others. But you have one heck of a tool there. good Luck.

Thanks for all the kind comments and advice.

Update-I went out today with the F 75 to see how it worked in my neck of the woods. Well, I found a CW 2 ringer bullet it 9 inches. So there ya go.
