Detector(s) used
Garrett Infinium, Compass Gold Scanner, Maxi Pulse, Gardner with a 3 foot loop, PDF1000, & Dowsing rods,
I might add that Compass had an extremely good gold detector, the
Gold Scanner (I have one) that operated at 13.77 Khz. They then
made a Au52 which was the same machine at 52 KHZ optimized for
small gold, then a AU 2000, same machine but switchable between
52 Khz and 13.77 Khz. The 52 Khz was for tiny gold and the 13.77
was for larger gold and coins (It had a discriminate mode also).
Hope that helps.

The higher the freq. the smaller the gold it will detect, the lower the freq. the deeper it will detect gold, everthings a compromise. you can't have both. Most gold hunters that I know aren't interested in fly speck size gold.

If you go into ....Finds Treasure Forum ... then into..Yank Aussie prospecting forum..... They say there that the New Gold Bug that Cabela's has is not the same one that will be released to the metal detector dealer market. And said that wait for the dealer release Gold Bug to get one.. Check it out at finds

Tank looks like your doing well by your photo, I have only had the Tesoro out twice. But already want more especially when friends & family want to go. Saw a lot of bikes today on the truck route

I have the Gold Bug Pro and I just LOVE IT!!! Its super smooth to run, light, and very accurate per discrimination. I cant say enough about this machine excpet I have not used it for gold because here in NC its to small, but its great at finding iron or deposits which I hear can house gold, but yet to find anthing real big to talk about. I have some videos on this machine on here

Thanks!
