It appears to be a natural rock to me as well.

Although it looks a bit like a nose. I’ve seen many rocks that look similar to that one.

Natural.

Like these.

Ok. Thanks. I've seen Omarolluk rocks. I thought these were different. The holes aren't round or smooth. Rather chipped away.

Welcome to Tnet from Mississippi.

My daughter brought this in today...

I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard Chasing_Dopamine! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

Welcome to tnet from Niagara Falls.

Welcome aboard. Unfortunately these guys are correct. Your stone is a natural Omar.

Illegal to dig for artifacts in Washington.

Good to point out. Of course a "freshly dug dirt pile" could be from a foundation hole, or anything else not connected to artifact hunting.

You can't dig for artifacts on private property? Good luck enforcing that one. Gary

Even though it's a natural rock, and the hole is smooth, a fire starter might be a possibility.
