New Jersey Milk Bottles - Puskas & Somerset

Thought I'd share pics of my milk bottles. Curious if other people have these in their collection, too.

My great-grandparents bought Willow Brook Farm in Middlebush, NJ & began dairy farming there about 1927. My grandfather had a milk delivery business going which he sold in 1946. My family still owns & operates this dairy & grain farm which has been known as the Puskas Farm, Puskas Dairy, Middlebush Farm & Middlebush Dairy Farm for at least 60 years now.

I grew up on this farm & would love to aquire any unwanted items related to this place so dear to my heart.

Kind Regards
JK

Re: New Jersey Milk Bottles - Puskas & Somerset

I feel your nostalgia amigo. my grandfather owned "Ted's Dairy" in Miamisburg Ohio. I'll keep an eye out for your stuff if you'll look out for mine . Do you have any info on the small bottle in the pic? It's mucho cool. Thanks

The small bottle was used by Somerset Dairy for 1/2 & 1/2 according to a milk bottle collector from central NJ. Think it's probably 1950s or 1960s. Somerset Dairy closed sometime before 1972 but I'm not sure when.

Will definately look out for your bottles related to your family history. Do you have any pics to share? Would be neat to see your bottles.

Maybe we ought to start a Dairy Farm Descendents club!

Best Regards
JK
