Got a new permission today but, like the rest we've gotten this year it's been hit already. Still managed to pull a few keepers.
First was my first New Jersey state copper. All I did was a dry rub and she looks good enough for me. Also got a barrel tap key and a 1938 Independant Car Dealer token. Not a lot of hits other then choppy iron hits.
The original house on the property is gone but, the house standing now is from 1870.

Nice finds and congrats on your first Jersey Copper. Quality above quantity any day in my book.

Congrats on the old copper and other nice finds

Congratualtions on the old copper and barrel tap key! :occasion14:

I found that exact Fisk tire token and I also pulled a Jersey today, how bizarre is that? I have yet to find a barrel tap, maybe tomorrow, ha
Nice digs bud

Congrats on the NJ copper! Great condition too bud. Be sure to PM Don SJ for a proper variety ID and survey.

That is pretty wild for both of us digging a NJ copper and then to find the same token. I never saw any tokens like that one and thought maybe I had a special one. I gues not so special. Lol
Now we both needed to find a gold cache our next hunts. Congrats and Good Luck on your next hunt!!

Thanks!! Who's Don SJ? Had a guy on Instagram suggested to get a hold of a Don Hartman for a survey he's doing on NJ coppers, the same guy?

WTG deershed, those are 3 sweet finds. :headbang: Who wouldn't love to dig a state copper.

Tnet member : Don in SJ.

Usually he finds me when I find a NJ copper and other too. Great guy!

Congrats on your first NJ copper, it is the most common variety 1787 Maris 43-d , but in fairly decent condition, so that is a happy find! I like the token, can't remember seeing one like that before. Please PM me again with State and County found in. I believe Treblehunter's NJ is also a 43-d, but not sure on his due to condition.
Don

Great find on that state copper

Nice finds, congrats. I love the look of that token, very nice! And of course the copper is a super find too. Glad you can still get out and hunt by you... we're frozen up here now.

Nicely done on the New Jersey Copper.
3 sweet finds
Congratulations
