New member from North Alabama

Been reading the site for a few days and figured I would sign up and introduce myself. I am from North Alabama and several years ago I was into MD'ing especially on vacation trips to the gulf or Florida Beaches. This year I started my trips to the Beach again and decided I wanted to spend my charter fishing money on a better detector than the cheap radio Shack model I had and try and find some real stuff other than trash.

So after talking to a few locals I know that are also into Md.ing I decided to splurge for a MineLab E-trac. A lot of money to start off with as a semi-newbie but I have about 3 weekends and a Holiday still before I go to the Beach, so plenty of time to learn the machine.

Who knows, maybe I will find some CW stuff in my own yard now as well.
