Just got back into the hobby after a 35 year break. I was big into MD in the mid '70's to the early '80's. My main machine back then was a Whites Goldmaster 66tr. I still have it. I just picked up a new detector and plan on enjoying the hobby once again. They have certainly come a long way. Happy to be here!

Ronnie.

hello and welcome back to MD! Yes, we no longer have pulltabs being ripped from soda cans. MD's go much deeper now and can filter out junk better. People have cleaned up the surface junk in some areas - leaving the deeper and older coins for the very patient to find. More NO MD'ing signs exist in parks and off limits in National Parks including shorelines like Assateaguee Island, VA where some pirates plunder was known to be found by people just walking along the beach. Happy Hunting!

Hello and welcome to the forum Ronnie...

Welcome, Ronnie.....I just saw your post, while looking for information on the "New design" BH Land Ranger Pro, you recently received. I would like to stay in touch with you and your future hunts/finds/experience with it. Have you been out lately?...I live north of Tallahassee, and my daughter graduated from FSU and is an archaeologist for the State of Florida, the last 15 years. Hope you continue to be active with your new detector......Good Luck & Happy Hunting!! Please keep us posted....Thank You.

Bill
