Hello from Pennsylvania Flyman.
What part of Alaska are you in, and what kind of treasure are you looking for?

Paul, I live on the Kenai Peninsula and have been mining and prospecting on the Kenai Peninsula for many years. Born in AK and am a third generation miner. Am happy to give any info, if I have it for this area.

No prospecting around here. The closest I come to something like that is fossil hunting, which I enjoy.
I do like to read about it though and am looking forward to your posts.

Hello--Prospector par excelance. I bet you laugh your off at the amateurs on Gold Rush. I hope you find lots of gold on your next outting.

[flyman]

Mzjavert, Thanks for the good luck wish. Yes I find much of Gold Rush very funny, but most of us are probably guilty of having done some of the same things at least once, and they are laughing all the way to the bank.

Been to Alaska chasin' the gold--absolutely beautiful! Welcome.

All the best,

Lanny
