Welcome Aboard! Take a look at Sub-Forums: Tennessee for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.
Whatever you finally decide on - please consider buying one from one of

's Supporting Vendors.

But that Sub-Forum is not active

Welcome! I'd recommend a Garret Ace for a beginner.

Welcome to the party. Depends on what your plans are and your budget. I think the AT Pro but I am prejudiced. Good Luck and Happy Hunting

Lol..OK, I'll bite: Why does it need to cost about $700?

Welcome from Texas. Good luck on your hunts and save some money. You don't need a $700 detector to start, but it's your money...

If i buy a 200$ detector it won't last and i would just buy a better detector it a couple of years so i might as well buy one that would last till i growup

I'll be 67 in a short few days. And I'll NEVER grow up, because I'm eat up with the hobby :)
