Sometimes those linear traces are broken up by landscape modification and various ownership management..., but, with lots of research, you will connect the dots on a map, and find a farm to do some door-knocking for permission, and find that physical evidence to prove the road was there - relics . You would be finding REAL history

I research all plat maps, owners names, and share the properties history if they do not know. I am very meticulous about land details and am 95% on granted permission to search.

That's good, I find some things not registered. Paleo american rock carvings, undocumented ice cave and continuously searching. Notice no people in any carvings.
