Howdy everyone. Not really a new member just haven’t used the site in quite awhile. I used to hunt with a Whites Quantum XT until it was broken by a fellow detectorist, (who was a member of a club I was in at the time,) jealous of a small discovery I made at a site he was hunting for years. In fact it was his detector I purchased from him after he bought a Fisher. He showed me how to set it up, and after a few weeks of tagging along and finding nothing, I downloaded the users manual for it and following the instructions on setting it up, I found it was quite different than his program. Whites setup was quite different than his custom program he assured me worked after seeing all the neat things he had on display in his basement. Yet I was finding nothing, until I tried the whites program. That day I found a button off a uniform from an infantrymen and the shank was present and straight up on it. He acted just like a child that day and it wasn’t until the following day when I opened up the case to put a charge in the battery I found the display smashed. Friendship ended that day. Whites said they couldn’t send me a new screen because they were shutting the doors and to try eBay for one.Today I use a mine lab Equinox 900 a whole new learning curve for sure. In fact I have a question to post maybe tomorrow that someone may help me with. Thank you, and may your next shovel of dirt hold a treasure.
