New Mexico Shark's teeth

Went tooth hunting last week NW of Albuquerque and found these babies. My first ever 8) Anyway, I took the big tooth to a Native American silversmith to see if he could build a sort of silver wire cage around the tooth to turn it into a pendant. Anyway, I think the tooth has to be sealed in some way to protect it and keep it from breaking first. Any ideas. I know nothing about preserving stuff like this. Also a fellow offered me $200 for the big tooth. The big tooth is almost 2" long. Are these things worth that kind of money? Thanks.

Well, you might not believe this but, between four of us we found close too 50 teeth. Many we left on the ground because they were too small or broken. Yes, all in about 3 hours. If you are familiar we our area we found them pretty close to Cabezon Peak. Probably NNW from here.
