Re: New MXT Provides many "firsts"

The depth of the relics varies. I think the deepest I have dug something is about 8 + inches. However, my MXT has detected some very small trash upwards 10+ inches. The Large Cent was about 6 inches deep.

What was cool about the NY State Button is that it was next to a nail and the MXT gave both the low and high tone signal and the display was showing "button".

Hopefully I will be able to get out tonight after dinner. My relic hunting buddies have been out all day today. Unfortunately it was my "Honey-Do" day. But that's OK.. I figure I am building up my good karma and will stumble upon a cache of CS Virginia or Georgia buckles!! (Ya..Right!)

HH Everybody!!

Re: New MXT Provides many "firsts"

Great job with the MXT. It's very hard to maintain the " honey-do" and the important stuff like "md'n". With practice you'll figure out how to balance.(not ground balance)

Great finds and good luck on the future finds gmu4me,

Smartin

Re: New MXT Provides many "firsts"

Tsgman,

The bottle I found in my back yard. The large cent, silver plated flat button, and NY State jacket button I found in a grass field next to my house. The rest I found in the soybean field behind my house. Where I also pulled up 10 bullets yesterday, including 4 more round balls and a very well preserved Morse Carbine bullet.
