Detector(s) used
Bounty Hunter Tracker IV / Garrett Ace 250/Minelab X-Terra 70
Well, went and hit a new park yesterday with Eddy1H, and Natural lite and had an interesting day...only found some clad (very little) 4 pennies, and a dime.....but I did manage to dig another pocket knife, this time an Old Timer...also dug what appears to be an old gate latch (was an old homesite at one time..and some pieces to what looks like an old Iron stove...also managed to dig up a couple of old rollerskate wheels, that were at least 70feet apart from each other, and some odd pieces of wall, or flooring, or petrified wood, I am not too sure...also managed to find a rock while digging that did not set off the detector, and does not attract a magnet, but appears to be metal, (possible meteorite??) any ideas always welcome!!
Thanks for stopping by and looking!
Sean

I do think you found some petrified wood there. If that "Hot rock" is what you are holding in like the seventh and eighth pics, I don't think it is a rock at all. I think it is highly oxidized metal of some sort. It is VERY semetrical and just doens't have that look about it.

Happy hunting and glad ya had a good time!

From the looks of the stuff you found, I'd say they has to be older coins there. Keep on diggin'!

Good start. I think that you can get the blades replaced on an old timer knife for just a couple of bucks. Check out there web-site. Same goes for schrade and case knives. HH!

Nice finds. I believe the round gear looking thing is a 'clutch throwout bearing' that some one threw out in the park.
