I finally was able to get some time off work to put the coil to the soil. So I tried a park that was established in the 1930s.
This was a 2 day hunt, 1 hr on day 1 (silver quarter) and then a full day of swinging the coil on day 2. I managed to get 93 quarters, 11 dimes, 5 nickles, and 34 pennies.
Also 3 silvers, 1 quarter (1964), 1 merc (1935) and 1 rosie (1952)... Found the rosie in the first hour at 11 inches deep and then found the merc at 9 inches deep.
The only other silver I found this year was at the coin star... I will save that for another post... Enjoy HH

Well done my man! That's a bunch of quarters! Nice.

That's a lot of targets. Congrats on the clad and the silver.

To get that many coins at parks I have been to would require at least a tall kitchen trash bag of junk too lol. You must have spent more time digging than swinging.

The silver was still there along with enough modern coins to half fill your gas tank.My knees would be shot with all that bending down.

Nice silvers and an excellent haul of clad!!

I love a hunt like you had. Seems like you found a virgin site. Once you get all that clad rescued you can then go back, slow down and listed for the deeper coins. I am at that point at one of my honey holes. Days like that feed the fire. :occasion14:

That's a clad quarter haul right there! Ha

I did a fair amount of swinging. At times I felt like I was always digging when I found a pocket of clad.
We are due for some rain, hopefully that will improve the deeper targets... Thanks for the comments..
Its been awhile since I found clad at this site...

My back hurts just looking at all that--nice job :icon_thumleft:

What is the other thing? A button? Looks ornate.
((Nice haul--thaz a lot of George's!))

THIS MAN WASNT DETECTING HE WAS EXCAVATING . DAMN WHATA LOT OF CLAD .

Great job,, my kind of hunt. The CTX will go deep and is a silver magnet.
Always good to come home with silver.

The CTX is a magnet for coins with the 17 inch coil. You can cover a larger areas and it has great depth.
I still have a few more days off from the grind, hopefully I will find a few more keepers. Thanks again
