I recorded the last few seasons...that way I could fast forward thru 99% of the episode (repeated content) to see the 10 seconds of new material....of course the new material being fictional stories or planted bobby dazzlers...
Oh, I don't know that they are planted. But you may be seeing the fourth or fifth take of the "exciting find" once the film and sound crews are satisfied.
But every scrap and strap is "spun" to bring it into their treasure lore. Nails are always "ship's nails" and spikes are always "ship's spikes". You'll never find shed nails and wharf spikes on Oak Island.
And frog jigs and eel forks are Roman spear points or crossbow quarrels. ;-)
