KKC got out to a new field and it proved to be another winner. The iron patch is large and in charge, but I still plucked this interesting Coronet cent out of the same hole with a large piece of iron. :icon_thumleft: I also got three buttons.

The farmer still needs to harvest the cornfield that is near the field we are hunting. We are believing that we only detected the small side yard and still need to hunt the main area yet.

We got 5 coppers and 4 buttons as a group yesterday.

Keep the passion high!

Kirk :hello:

Kirk, looks like the place has potential for some nice finds. Not quite as old as I know you would like though. What did the rest of the KKCrew get?

Looks like you took a bite or two out of that one, Kirk! :laughing9:

No doubt you had a great hunt. :icon_thumright:

Thank you all for the replies. Kyle got a nice 1797 Draped Bust large cent, 1820 Coronet, and another Coronet cent. Chris got a worn Draped Bust large cent. :icon_thumleft: All of these coppers were dug in a 20' by 20' area.

Thank you, Neil, this site does feel very promising. We were finding the coppers at the edge of the cornfield (probably 5 yards away). Once we got closer to the corn, the iron started to get stronger. This could indicate that we weren't in the heart of the iron patch. :dontknow:

Just seen this post. I think you'll have to start loading them up more to make them easier to find. :laughing7:

Great new site there with some nice finds coming out...something really nice ready to pop out...WTG :icon_thumright:

Great to see the coppers are showing up for you. I have not dug one in quite a while.
