Hi all. Got out for a few hours this morning. The foliage is really turning nicely now, so I decided to go to another old swimming hole in my area a friend suggested. This was my first time here, but will definitely not be my last. My finds weren't great but the scenery sure is! I only managed 44 cents clad, a toasted wheat ( been a couple months since my last wheat ) and what I first thought was an old 2 ring bullet. After getting home and a little cleaning with water and a soft toothbrush, I think I need to ask you experts what it is. It weighs just over 9 grams, is about 11/32 wide at the rear and 17/32 long. As the picture shows, there is a conical opening in the rear like my old .58 cal minieball. The rings and the opening are what made me think it was old when I first saw it. Hope some of you can tell me about it. Thanks for looking and any replies.

sorry cant help you but WOW that's some nice scenery

It's beautiful there for sure, Cjon. It really needs an AT Pro or another waterproof detector. There are at least 2 natural holes created by the falls. I can only imagine the rings at the bottom of them, lol. My friend who suggested the site says the one is somewhere around 20 ft deep he thinks. I know I could not see the bottom, but I was there in the morning when sunlight wasn't the best for seeing bottom either.
