Hi, I'm new to this and found an old button that I hoped someone could help me identify.

Thanks in advance!

Most likely one of these..Congrats!
Robinson buttons were some of my first finds when I started detecting.
It looks like it says "ROBINSON & CO - TREBLE GILT"

OBED AND OTIS ROBINSON 1812-1826
RICHARD ROBINSON & CO. 1826-1828
ROBINSON, JONES & CO 1828-1836
R. & W. ROBINSON 1836-1848

at least you found something very good!! awesome button relic!! congrats!

Anyway you cut it, looks like you scored an oldie from the 1800’s. Nice find and keep swinging :icon_thumright:

Nice 1800s flat button! You're off to a great start and Welcome to TNet Stucraig from Nick in CT! :hello:

you're on an old spot. keep looking, there's probably lots more cool stuff there

You made a very good start with that oldie. Buttons are very, very fun to find. Welcome!

You are off to a great start. I don't often find buttons with markings and remaining gilt. Sure to be other old finds in that area. Congrats!

It was my first time and I was in a heavily detected park, I'm surprised I found anything! That button and a couple insignificant pennies, but it was something at least!

Congrats on a very nice old Flat button. Get yourself a display case and start to display all the buttons you will find over the years ahead. They will look very nice together. Welcome to the hobby and to TN.

Awesome find! Welcome to Treasure net.
