New to Forum.....Farmhouse Finds.

firedigger · Feb 28, 2011

Got to hunt with my brother and sister in law this weekend. Old farmhouse that was her grandad's birthplace. He was so excited that we returned some of his dad's farm items that he had not seen since he was a child. Great time.

Welcome to T-net.

Antiq....I dug several of those round tags in WV. The ones I dug were old caol miner tags. They had a # that went with a miner. It was used to ID equipment and to let the company know who is under ground for a shift.

That's so interesting!

I wonder if the mine company kept the tag records of who these tags belonged to . . . maybe the information could be found on-line? :icon_scratch:

Of course, if these tags are very old then the records probably don't exist anymore.

Thanks,
Dave
