Found a WW2 Military ID bracelet…help me return it!
So with the info on here, I found the registration record for the guy, but it quickly dead-ends. For those of you better connected with this kinda research, throw me a bone. I’d love to find the legit next of kin… probably easier with the facebook, but I don’t play that. Oh, here it is…Found in...
So I texted the number, it was his son! We got a phone call together, and he had never seen or heard mention of this long lost personal item. He thinks his Dad lost it while fox hunting in the late 40s or early 50s. He has almost no belongings of his Dad from WW2, so returning this will be extra special. They live over 3 hours away from me, so it’ll take some planning on my part to figure the best time to make a road trip. (Gotta run it by my wife lol) I’d like to get this returned by Thanksgiving, but more likely before Christmas.
I don’t know who was happier, Mr. Albright's son, or me…I can’t wait to give this to him, shake his hand, and learn more about this true Hero.
I hope they have a really old house!
