Hello, I found this forum and read some of the stories here and thought it would be great to banter w/ you folks. I'm an avid caver/conservationist and always keep my eye out for nature's treasures, but also like exploring the old pioneer sites. This is my daughter and I near Chama. Couldn't put my name on my profile because someone else is listed as such so rptyd is part of my web listing, my name is Jean. I look forward to many interesting conversations here.

Thanks everyone, you don't always get a welcome like this in forums. It's refreshing and just makes me look forward to the future of being here when I get the chance. :icon_sunny:

Hey Jean welcome to you and your daughter to Mugs and to T-net you will find lots of crazy great mpeople on here ! Just remember we like pictures and lots of um ;D

Thanks DD-777 I do like to dive, and thank you rmptr, Chama is a pretty, little place in the northern part of New Mexico located in Rio Arriba County. It's made a bit of S W history for the U S due to Native American history, Hispanic heritage and the Rio Arriba insurrection of 1967(Land rights rebellion). Although the insurrection happened a few miles away in Tierra Amarilla which is the county seat. The area has quite a history of insurrections for the last few centuries (since the 1500s). The 1st url gives a bit of history, the 2nd a look at the insurrection and the 3rd, well a different view of modern practice. If you like to explore history a bit, it's a good read.

By the way, the bite on that bone(1st set-#6) is on both sides and must have been extremely powerful jaws.

Great pictures Rptyd!

Really interesting things to see! A lot different than what I see every day, for sure!

LoL! Like MG said, we really like pics around here!
