New to MD need help

I'm trying to decide detween the discovery 3300 and the Garrett 400 I'm leaning towards the 3300 for the manual GB and also like the zap feature but both machines have great reviews I will be using it when we go on Vaca to Myrtle Beach in the dry sand (mostly) with some wet sand on waters edge when I get home which is the perryhall white marsh maryland area will be mostly schools parks and old trails and anywhere else that looks old and interesting any help is welcome and appreciated ty oh the 3300 is new 130$ and used ace 400 150-200$
