New to the Desert

Hi all, longtime DFX hunter but new to the Southern Utah desert. The last 15 years of coin/relic hunting was from Wisconsin so I am not in a completely different element/climate. I would be grateful for any tips or advice on programming for productive desert, sand, rocks type hunting. Hoping to help old coins and pistols dropped from cowboys on horseback to see the light of day again.
