New to the hobby in So Cal - I have MXT

Hello I am new to the MDing hobby.

I just bought a white's MXT and the Gold 6x10 coil.

I have messed with it in my yard and found a hand full of modern coins

My question is.. Where should I hunt?? I live in Valencia, CA

About anywhere there is ground. Depends on what your after, coins, relics, nuggets, jewerly. Garrett has a few good books on where to detect, places you would not think of. Welcome to the addiction..........

Modern coins, try parks and tot lots.

Looking for something older; check on the history
of your town or area; go where the old folks went.
