Quick question I've been lookin throughout my coins at home and what year nickels other than the V and buffalo nickels sould I watch for?

I keep anything pre 1958 in nickels.also look out for 2009 nickels as they had a low mintage.

Thats only for silver nickels - usually people collect nickels pre 60

Anything worth more than 5 cents, here is a website for the Jeffersons nickels to give you a rough ideal which are worth keeping. They have all the other coins listed as well by clicking on coin values and there are other sites out there you can search for. I also keep anything pre-60.

The war nicks are for the most part worth keeping there part silver. Be for you keep a bunch of nicks ask your coin shop whats worth keeping?? Unless your doing a book a nick a nick. Good luck with your hunt!! Unless your 10 years old and want to tie up money for ever just in case.
