Found new unexplored 19th century site. Underwater, low tide, old pier pilings and mud artifacts.

Made by A. Liebler Bottling Co.

They also bottled Yuengling. Yuengling would eventually buy out A. Liebler. The company had no qualms about marketing to children as seen in this 19th century advertising:

Most of the bottles found:

Note hand-tooled Union Flask with cork still in it.

Also found 19th century style brass spoon (no pics yet).

I didn't metal detect the new site yet. I had gone out to dig for bottles at a 1920's bottle dump that I knew about from earlier. When that site didn't yield anything new or interesting I moved on and noticed some old pilings in the low tide mud some ways away. In that area the ground by the pilings is littered with 19th century artifacts such as the bottles above and also this spoon. I think this place was a boat launch or a fishing pier/ swimming hole. I did not see a single artifact from later than the 1890's. Since this area is only visible at low tide and is very secluded I think it has remained undisturbed until now. I will be detecting and sifting through the area intently in the coming weeks so stay tuned.

Nice glass! It will be great to see if it delivers the goods.
If these are just on the surface, it could very well deliver the goods.

Sweet bottles...Love how clean they are from being in the water. I can't wait to see the great stuff you are going to pull out! Congratulations on scouting out a potentially awesome site
